Newport Symphony Orchestra is the only full-season professional symphony orchestra on the Oregon coast. The ensemble includes musicians from the Oregon coast, Eugene, Portland, Salem and beyond. Home base for the orchestra is the 328-seat Newport Performing Arts Center, just steps away from the gorgeous Oregon seashore in historic Nye Beach. The Newport Symphony Orchestra is under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Adam Flatt.
Newport Symphony Orchestra typically convenes in Newport for three rehearsal services on the Saturday and Sunday one week in advance of a concert weekend. A concert weekend typically includes a Saturday morning dress rehearsal, Saturday evening concert, and a Sunday matinee repeat performance. If needed Newport Symphony Orchestra can provide musicians housing while in Newport.
