The Newport Symphony typically convenes in Newport for three rehearsal services on the Saturday and Sunday one week in advance of a concert weekend. A concert weekend typically includes a Saturday morning dress rehearsal, Saturday evening concert, and often a Sunday matinee repeat performance. If needed the Newport Symphony can provide musicians housing while in Newport.
Prospective members should contact the Personnel Manager or send a resume to the NSO office. The resumes will be kept on file until an opening occurs and auditions are held. Musicians interested in joining our substitute list may be asked to audition.
