Youth Symphony Performs

Salem Youth Symphony Philharmonia Orchestra (SYSPO) performs a concert featuring selections from Brahms' Hungarian Dances, Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien, and Paul Dukas' Sorcerer's Apprentice. SYSPO includes more than 50 middle and high school musicians from the Salem area, they will be joined by members of Newport's own youth symphony NYSOC for this performance.

This concert not only gives young central coast musicians the chance to experience the beauty and intensity of playing with a full symphony orchestra, but it is also an opportunity for music-lovers of all ages to enjoy an inspiring performance.

Please join them for a evening of inspirational music! Admission is free, donations welcome.

With deep regret, Mr. Stiers has withdrawn from this concert series in February 2017. Because of the unique nature of this very special lecture concert, the NSO has elected not to replace this concert with another. Those who have purchased tickets may make their ticket a tax-deductible donation to the NSO or may request a refund by contacting the NSO office.
